Had problems with touch-up paint over the weekend. Need help!

I was afraid that might be the answer...
I'm trying to avoid taking it to a body shop because I live in downtown Chicago and I know it would get marked up again as soon as I had it done.
I guess I'll search for a better match in a spray can (And I'll test the color before I put it on my car this time!)

In my experience silver touch-up always looks darker than factory silver.
The way it's been explained to me, you can never get a really good match with metal flake touch-up paints. It has to do with the way the flakes lay down when they're "blobbed" on as touch up paint, as opposed to being sprayed on at the factory. I had the same experience as you, trying to touch up some rear bumper damage; the touch-up paint looks several shades darker than the original. It's definitely the correct paint for my car. And the car's paint is not faded. I'm now resigned to the fact that this is just the way it is with silver touch-up paint.
