we installed rs4 ic on sumurfettes car this weekend and I was thinking a rs4 ic could be a low cost way to upgrade the ic on an a4. thoughts?

http://207.63.107.69/chicagoaudifiles/memberdata/smurfettes4/data/RS4intercoolerinstall/</a

Default i talked about it a few years ago. never tried it though.....

i think the main problem would be the plumbing. forge makes a side mount IC. you should get ahold of them and ask.

Default Just Dave and GJaime are doing it.

It's looking like it's working out well.

Default I believe they just test-fit the IC.

And then put the stock unit back in until they could get the hoses they had ordered.

Default got it... what was diffrent about the pipe you ordered?

I'm sure it costs alot to have soemthing made special... example: the final quote for my door trim was 670 tooling costs. plus a min order of 500 units. ha yeah... thats gonna happen.

Default custom stainless isn't that expensive...

As long as it's something the machines can do. Plus there is a wide variety of different stuff available out there if you know where to look. The ID and OD of the pipes are different on the RS4 IC, that's why custom piping is necessary.

Default I see.. interesting.. the pipes for the id and od of the s4 ic looked

similar to the a4 id and od but i didnt really look. perhaps the same silocone hoses would work?
