has anyone made a cold air intake and tested it on a dyno for results?

Default has anyone made a cold air intake and tested it on a dyno for results?

im looking to make 1 but i cant decide if its worth it, im more after the power gains than the sound

yes,,years ago. you get about 5-7hp at most.

no,,a number of tuners did this a while back,,1998 I believe

Default why don't you name the tuners that had CAI's back in 98 buddy

APR was barely getting off the ground at that point, PES probably had just started as well, Turbo5 didn't exist, LLtek probably didn't exist or have a product.

So what "number of tuners" was this exactly?

Default If you are more for power then move on....

this would not be a wise investment. My budy dynoed his IS300 before he put a cold air on and once again after. With the cold air he lost one hp and gained one tq. If thats power enough for you then go for it I would much rather have more tq than hp but only one Id rather spend my money other places.
Thats just my 2cents
other people might think differently but I have seen the dyno and that is why I feel that way.
