Default has anyone tried an exhaust cutout?

hope it's aluminum cuz if it's steel it won't weld up to an aluminum exhaust.

yeah, they make some ****ty ones out of the wrong materials but.. *cough* test pipes

Default would be hard to do....

If you want to bypass the cat your going to have to bolt it up directly between the turbo and cat which will be pretty difficult to do, it would probably be more worth your while to get either a highflow cat or test pipe.

Default They make better ones. One that has a closed off side that uses 3 wing bolts to remove it at the

races.

My friend and I put one on a WRX with a stock exhaust. We put after the pre-cat but before the main cat. When open it made a noticeable improvement, but he was running 350+ on the stock exhaust. There were some problems, however. There is no seel inside the cut-out exhaust still escaped through the straight pipe when it was supposed to be closed. The leak makes his car sound like a go-cart. Also, the lever often rattles, while it seems to be secure. Turbos do act as a silencer, but an open pipe (atleast on the wrx) is still damn loud. Remember, you get what you pay for! It is better have a good exhaust system.
