Ever since I put an RS4 body kit, and some mods to my car, the audi service people have turned into asses. Anyways, the cruise control on my car went out, and my car is still underwarranty, but they say that ALL the wiring I've done from my boost gauge and turbo timer...etc, they cant find the problem. Well I think they are retarded, and should not deserve 98 dollars when I think I know more about this car then they do. I also have been having a rough idle for about 8 months, only if I leave my car for more then like 8 hours and the idle sometimes jumps at stoplights. Thanks for helping

have you tried another dealer? Have you vag'd your car?

Those aren't 'some' mods... I wouldn't expect the dealer to take care of that.

only reason I'm writing this. If it did this after these mods, then I would know. But the cruise control has nothing to do with my mods. I was just wondering if there were things I could check or try. I had my car vag'd it came up with 8 codes, all of which I remember happening, and happened cause my battery died... ABS plate fell off... etc. But nothing major.

I thought that the DBW's didn't work with vacuum????

Rough idle though sounds like vacuum? Did you check all your hoses? my 1.8T had a vac hose crack at 20k miles. one of the ones coming off the intake manifold. I was able to find it just by visual inspection (was a 2" tear on the inside of a 90 degree angle)

Sometimes when a new ECU is put in, the cruise control doesn't work until a specific module is logged into.
