Have there been price releases on the APR ECU Explorer?

I have a gift certificate I was gonna use for a VAG-COM... but something tells me APR isn't gonna be selling a VAG-COM if it has a competitor made by itself.

the ECU explorer is 279 intro, 299 normal... and it isn't a compeitor right now...

since all it does is log the ECU, not the rest of the car. You can't vag the windows with ECU explorer. Just log off the ECU.

so they aren't direct competitors. You should own the VAG COM for most stuff, ECU explorer if you get more into manual tuning...

besides, VAG COM is demo'ing hi speed sampling anyway...

buy the VAG.

I believe pricing is the same as the EMCS chips ..

I tried to buy the Direct Port Programming today...

Not available yet for 2000 ECU's. They started with the latest ones and are working backwards. No ETA for 2000. They tried to sell me the chip. I think I'll wait. No sense investing in the old tech.
