Having a problem with the heat
Hello
I have a 1997 A4 2.8q and for some reason the heat doesn't ever seem to be hot. i brought it to the Audi dealer and he just looked at it. felt the heat and said that the car only made heat when it was cold outside and that is why it was not hot. well where i live it said it was 49 degrees outside and the heat was still only slightly warm ... is this right.. i mean do i have to wait till its 30 degrees out just to get heat??

i hate dealers that tell you stuff just to get rid of you! ={(
if you turn the heat up you should get heat any time you want. three most probible things that cause your problem are: thermostat stuckopen. clogged heater core, and vent doors not working. go to another dealer if that is possible. good luck!
