Default Having toruble removing aftermarket radio...please help

I need to check the back of my radio for the "VAG aftermarket radio problem"

I am having touble sliding out the radio of the "sled". Above is not my radio, but I am pretty sure all aftermarket radios install the same way (Looks similar).

Do I need a special tool to remove this or are there pins soemwhere on the side of the radio that need to be pushed in?
Any help appreciated.

Default Usually aftermarket DIN's are setup this way

Wiggle the plastic silver outside piece off. It should expose a latch on either side (marked in red). From there, just release the latches and the housing should be able to slide off.

It should be rather easy to pull away the plastic. Don't try to force it.

Good luck,
Jimmy

The red marks you made is where I also thought latches were to remove thebradio, but I couldn't find anything. I will have to go and try again.
