heating question?
i'm thinking i might need a new thermostat, what do you think? i have a 2000 A4 1.8 with 61k on it so far and it takes me a good 10 minutes or so before my heat kicks in and the engine begins to heat up? is this just because of a bad thermostat or something else? it used to heat up a lot faster, once i'm going for like 15-20 min or so it runs just fine and maintains temperature. let me know what you think

Did it use to heat up faster in the past in similar weather?
When the temp is in the 20s, my car takes about 4-5 minutes before HVAC starts blowing warm air. Then, a minute or two later, the coolant temp needle starts to move. Then, another 5 minutes later, the engine oil temp needle starts to move.
