Default Help!!??!!

whats up everyone... new to AW and needed some help...

i just got my new 2003 audi a4 3.0 quattro... i got about 700 miles on it and last night i was driving on the highway late at night and ran over something that i thought was just a little bag in the road.
turns out there was something metal and sharp in the bag and it ripped off a big amount of the plastic protector under the car between the front two tires.. i wanted to know what exactly that piece is called and if anyone knows any good places to order a replacement for it because i dont feel like going through audi and getting banged in the head....

nah,,, on the 2002-2003 models,,, there is a big plastic piece that covers the whole front underneath of the car... i dont know if its important but i still want to repair it because the car is brand new..

Default you don't really need that plastic piece...

but if you wanted to get a new one, i wouldn't know who would have it except the dealer.

Default Actually, I'd keep it on

On my 2.8, the alternator sits really low, and I would be afraid of it getting soaked when going through a big puddle. The belly pan just keeps things cleaner and a bit less noisy. Not to mention it collects all that oils we usually start leaking. ;-)

(I've been completely oil-leak free for about 3 weeks now!)

Lower sound deadener and it helps cooling of the engine bay. I'd replace it.
