I bought an Audi 2004 turbo a6 Quattro..
I found out it's a monster of problems including the following;
So you would better understand what I went thru.
- All Gears are High Lighted
- Car is in Limp Mode
- Damaged Radiator bracket.. Replaced
- New Radiator Installed
- New Condenser installed .. AC super cold
- New Bumper Installed
- Repaired, cleaned and re-tightened all clamps
- Replaced coolant storage
- Replaced the 2nd damaged electrical water pump.. Was leaking.
- repaired the roof drains
- repaired and sealed cracks in the vent seals
- Cut rotors and replaced brakes
- Cut and soldered every butt connected electrical lines under the passenger side
- checked all lines for continuity
- TCM Replaced
- New TCM Soaked 2nd time due to another crack in the seal under the dash {5" water again in Passenger side}
I think the 2nd tcm is damaged and also need a TCM harness
the original tcm connector is damaged due to rust..
I soldered all lines direct into the tcm.. Perfect.. Soldered and triple checked with BATT off..
I think due to the 2nd time flooding in passenger side, the tcm is damaged..
I borrowed a Diagnostic tool.. Gave me the following error;
Error Code: P0884 TCM Power Input Signal Intermittent
Error Code: P0798 Pressure Control Solenoid C Electrical

I checked for ground and power
I checked the following on the TCM;
Check one line TCM power supply circuit has POWER when ignition is Off - OK
Checked 2 black lines the has power when ignition is ON - I guess it's the TCM ign power supply circuit -OK
Checked the Brown wires (ground) TCM power ground - OK
