<center><img src="http://pictureposter.audiworld.com/69531/a4.jpg"></center><p>how is that black license plate holder held on? cuz i took out those 2 screws but its like glued on, or is there screws on the back side? i need to take it off to help reduce rattles. if theres no screws on the back side and its glued on, whats the best way to reinstall it?

I don't understand. Taking that off would if anything increase rattles between a plate and bare metal instead of plastic.

Just pull real hard.
It helps to pull it off when it's warm to soften the goo.

i have dynamat type stuff on the license plate it self and on the license plate frame that i have on there. i have notice when i hold down on either bottom corner of the black license plate holder it reduces the rattle.

The car *would* look better with no rear plate.

dont try to take it off you will either break it or, well break it. I barely got mine off and come to find out Audi uses a super duper sticky sounddeading material on the plate holder. Your rattles arent coming from you plate holder, maybe your plate. Try double sided foam tape on the back on the licsense plate. If that doesnt work then you have to use sounddeading material on the back side of the trunk skin. Thats where my rattles are coming from. There coming from the trunk skin the the support piece that runs along the skin to give it strenght. Take off the carpeting and you'll see it.
