Default Help with a 98 Quattro a4.

So I am living in the Bay Area and I have a 98 audi and it has always been a low car hugs the ground very nice. Out here there are alot of steep hills and awkward hills and bumps and driveways. I have been thinking about getting it lifted but a friend told me I could do it myself.
The question is how complicated is it and if done wrong what are the possible failures of wrong instillation. How much would it be to have done and is it even necessary.
Thank you for the help for those who can.

If you have coilovers you can do it yourself with the coilover tools. They sell them at ECS tuning if you need them. I couldnt get mine apart because of salty winters but if they are relatively new you could do it.

If you don't have coilover,s factory non-sports suspension setups can be had on Craiglist for under $150.oo Installation is not hard. There are plenty of DIY's to read.

So if I purchase these coilers and do install them what are some of the problems I might have if done incorrectly?
