HELP NEEDED
I am my end trying to figure out why my 01.5 A4 1.8T won't start timing is on the marks, there is fuel, spark, good compresson, no codes from the computer, just wont fire it cranks and cranks just won't fire

replaced a blown block.....................
Just finished replcaing the the short block in an A4 1.8T, timing is perfectly on there is fuel, here is spark and there is good compression among the 4 cylinders, the car will crank and crank and chug but won't fire. Need some ideas on what could be wrong, also scaned the ecu and it isn't throwing any codes. Need help need to get this car going today......
Spark was determined by the spark plug in the coil park arching to the valve cover , and fuel there is plenty in the fuel rail

ah ok. So looks like one thing to determine is if the fuel injectors even have duty cycle
At least you know you have spark and fuel, so that can rule out a CAM or Crank sensor disconnected.
Why not pull out the fuel rail and see if the injectors actually spit out something while cranking. The ECU should have a cold start map which doesn't rely on a lot of sensors. Check for power to injectors and fuses too. Check also that all your grounds are connected such as the ones behind the coolant tank.

Any chance the plugs are getting wet? If completely dry, then it's still a fuel injectors refusing to open most likely cause of no signal or power from ECU.
If wet, then among other things, check to make sure you didn't switch wiring to coils. It should be difficult to do since the way they are bundled.

Hmm, bad fuel? How about disconnect fuel injectors for now, dry up plugs,
spray some starting fluid in the throttle body and see if it even fires up for a couple of seconds. That would at least rule out spark ignition out of timing or bad fuel.
Weird though. Looks like you have all the elements.
Just a sanity check, I'm assuming you didn't take off the cams. But if you did, is the intake cam timing ok also?
