Default Help puhleeeze: I'm about to trim the ugly black plastic behind my license plate

I know there are two screws up top that hold it down, but I thought I heard someone say there is double-sided tape also? With the screws out, is it easy to just pull the plastic off the car?
Thanks!!

Double tape in addition to screws? Where did you hear this?

yeah its relatively easy to get the black plastic off once the torx (I think they were torx)screws are out. You will need to start at a corner and then pry it off from there. Its actually two rows of very sticky black adhesive that are used. My adhesive stayed pretty much in place on the paint rather than on the black plastic piece so I was able to reuse it. Good choice to trim it, I don't know why more don't do it as it makes for a much cleaner look.

BTW, watch for the Johnson-to-Johnson combo this fall as well as Sapp and Rice on the D line to dominate. I'm planning on going to New Orleans for the Super Bowl if anyone wants to meet up there at that time ;-).

Default It's also held on by a layer of thick black rubber-like adhesive which.....

people seem to have varying levels of difficulty removing.
