Help! Serious! Time sensitive extremely loud road noise...
I am visiting a friend about 600 miles from home and need to get back asap, but car problems are holding me back... heres whats up.
I am getting extremely loud road noise from my drivers side rear tire (from what I can tell). It sounds like a jeep running swampers but even louder. It starts around 40mph to get unbearable. It does the noise when driving straight however when I turn the steering wheel even slightly to the left the noise is 100% gone, if I turn the wheel to the right it gets even louder.
I just replaced all the tires and it did not fix it.... as it was doing it before I got the tires and I also got an alignment and it did not fix it. I tried putting a full size spare wheel/tire on and it still made the noise. I checked for rubbing and I can find nothing.
Any ideas? Its so loud and irriating that I cannot drive home with it like this, not to mention its probably real bad for the car and tires.
THanks.
