Default I recommend either APR or GIAC chips. Much more power, and most people here run either of them.

Seach for the much famed APR vs. GIAC post, as it will anwser most of your questions.

Default Dahlback, more EXPENSIVE by far

All the chips basically do the same thing. They tell the engine to keep more of the turbo boost rather than divert it/blow it off. They also change some of the fuel maps. There isn't a whole lot of variation between the various "stage 1" chips in terms of power output since they're all constrained by exactly the same OEM equipment.

GIAC seems to enjoy a pretty substantial following here in the US and the prices are reasonable. Last time I checked, Dahlback was over 1000 EUROS for their chip.

Cheers,

Default Actually, I was mistaken...the chip only option on their website is 744 Euros...

which is about US$1000. And it's rated at approximately the same power/torque as GIAC and APR chips.

My bad.

How does Neuspeed compare to APR and GIAC if all are almost equal using OEM equipment? Why dish out $1000 while you can pay much less for Neuspeed?

Default I'd go with the one that provides the best drivability and that fits in your budget

I've driven APR and GIAC equipped cars and they both worked just fine. I haven't yet tried one from Neuspeed so I can't comment on how well it works.
