Here is the truth - Please Read!

If you every see an old lady crossing the street, DON'T HELP HER! My friend at the police dept told me this is also a gang initiation ritual. Hoodlums dress up like old grannies and stand on street corners waiting for people to lend them a hand. When this happens, that becomes their target. They beat them senseless with their walker or cane.You have been warned!!!

Ian, thanks for the warning! The granny gang gag reminds me of another ploy I have been warned about.Some gang members dress up as pedestrians and if you make eye contact or say "Hi" to them in public they shoot you with bazookas and lob grenades at you.Robert Jordan

I am a fully initiated member of that gang and I can tell you from experience that we only beat/bazooka/grenade BMW owners or do we point and laugh? One of the two.
