I installed an APR v3.0 chip in my '98 1.8 5-speed today. Huge difference in the way it pulls, especially at higher speeds.
1) APR sent a K&N air filter. Would I expect a power increase by installing this? (Stock 1.8 except for chip).
2) While the 1.8T in my A4 has boost limited to produce 150hp, I understand that different boost limits are set for various applications of the 1.8T. Anyone have information about the various levels of stock hp the 1.8T produces in its various applications? Thanks.

..maybe 5hp or so... I put in the APR 3.0 chip and two days later put in the K&N filter - no noticeable difference, not even throttle response. Good idea to put it in though - Since the chip will subject the engine and turbo to more stress, why not let it breath easier?

Only difference with .8 bar AutoThority & K&N is the turbo seems to spool up quicker with K&N.
