Default HIDS???
What is a good pair of hids? other than the norm like knight and phillips? Has anyone ever heard of, or used SLC HIDS? Are they any good?

Default Stick with Philips, Sylvania or Osram...
You get what you pay for and those 3 happen to lead the pack in lighting regardless of if it's auto or not for a reason. Testing, big budgets and market share allow them to produce the quality lamps they do.

They make Housings and Balast not the actual lamps.

Default Mine (GT HID) have survived through an accident that crushed the headlight lenses
direct H7 plugins for halogens... They get my vote, and look great...

Correct, their ballasts will bolt flush right on the bottom of B5 headlight

I've had no problems with my McCoullough's either, they mount flush under the housing too.
