high revving

high revving

I just purchased a 1999 a4 quattro and it seems to rev abnormally high above 60 mph. Is this normal or does anyone know what may be causing this? Thanks.

welcome to a slipping CLUTCH... hope you bought an aftermarket warranty

search the board for high rev 5th gear

What is high revving? My car runs ~3000 rpm at 60

Big difference from my prior car which ran at about 1500 at 65. (6 spd though)

i think i run 3k at 65mph but i am not sure.

i never go that fast =)
