How do you adjust glove box latch on 99' 1.8T ..I have to SLAM it to close ?

Default I have the same problem....and the glove box, just drops, it used to open nice and slow..

what needs to be done here.

Default When you say nice and slow, do you mean similar to the cupholder and oh$hit handles?

Cause mine never did that, and I think it was misadjusted/broken from the factory. I know it's got something to do with the mechanism on the left side, but I don't know how to fix it.

yes yes yes....just like the cupholder and Ohh$hit handles...how do i get that back on the blovebox?

Default You can check that the glove box mechanism is connected...

... open the glove box up and press in both sides so that the glove box completely drops down. On the left side of the glove box there is a little cylinder thing that dampens the opening. Make sure that the plunger part of the mechanism, attached to the glove box door, isinserted into the cylinder of the mechanism when you close the glove box.

I don't know if I've said this very clearly but have a look, it will be obvious when you see it.

I don't think I have this mechansim. IIRC, mine is a spring operated roller type mechanism
