Default FWIW, a 2 lb mallett is not a BFH. I try to avoid hitting cars with hammers as much as possible..

30 seconds with the correct tool, works every time.

Default But I have $10k worth of Snap On hammers

I have an ecu removal hammer, a abs module hammers, a rearview mirror adjustment hammer........

Haha, I laugh at how much some of the Snap-On stuff i have costs. I always bought second hand.

Well, I did buy a 3lb sledge and there were times it really helped

it's about how stupid the responses you're getting are.

You've been given the correct information (drop subframe, penetrating oil etc)

Control arms are not that big of a job..

ummm, yeah so roger gave you right info, nate gave you somewhat right info
The hammer to pop the ball joint works, but you could also spray some pb blaster in there (and depending on what you still have hooked up) you can turn your steering wheel back and forth to get the oil to penetrate better

if you have your TRE's removed, then just move the control arm back and forth by hand
