how do you replace the oil pickup tube?

any writeups or pictures as to where the location of it is?

this is for an 01 1.8t.

not easy you need to remove the oil pan....

for the 1.8T this requires that you lower the front subframe. i'd suggest you get a bentley's manual before you attempt this.

After dropping the pan three times on two different A4's in less than a month, I have a new policy:

If the pan comes down, a new oil pump goes in. For less than $100, it's cheap insurance.
