Are you related to "concerned"?
I like the scanner..having Adobe Photoshop also is a must IMHO. Scan speed is ok...quality is ok...I'm just finding out I don't have enough disk space to store all these jpeg files. Sometimes it wigs out and cannot identify the full photo...which is strange..but then again, I might not be using it correctly. Typical guy...I don't read documentation. I am gonna pop for Adobe Photoshop 5.0 since I hear it has some new features that will help the quality of the jpeg images I post on A4.org
Do you happen to work for HP?
Steve S.
97 2.8QM

Everything I use is old, but...
...here goes:
Pentax Zoom 90 Auto Focus 35mm Camera (Point and shoot, and out comes absolutely stunning pictures in most circumstances: AMazing!)
Canon IX-4015 24 bit flatbed scanner (Doesn't get used much, is like new, and can you believe it was $900 when I bought it about 6 or 7 years ago? Ouch!)
Chinon ES-3000 Digital camera with zoom (Bought it for the zoom. Takes pretty good pictures, but the download software is pathetic. Works great fo posting internet pictures.
Corel Photopaint V.5 (I know! I'm running Win98 and my software is Win 3.0 age!)
I also have a Sony 8mm Camcorder (B&W viewfinder!), but don't have a Snappy or anything to capture still pictures. Have yet to use the camcorder in the car anyway.
Charles
