How hard would it be to replace my engine with an S4 engine? What all would be needed?

Default How hard would it be to replace my engine with an S4 engine? What all would be needed?

I am considering just changing my whole engine and putting in an S4 engine as it might end up costing the same amount as upgrading my 12V engine. If you figure around 7k for the TDL conversion and if a future supercharger comes out it will run around another 5k, I am thinking for that price I should be able to upgrade to an S4 engine. What do you all think? What all would be needed to change to an S4 engine? Would I require a new Tranny aswell? Let me know thanx.

Default Yeah, it's better off buying an S4...

with the engine, you might need to swap an S4 tranny, and with that, you will need new drive line, and labor. Just not worth the labor and hassel. Better off buying an S4.

Default I guess its better off to get an S4 rather then paying 12k on Upgrading my 12V or swapping to an S4

engine, I guess I will just wait it out and get an S4, it seems like the best course to take.

Default definetly worth doing it, i am looking at that option myself..

full engine means tranny/clutch/computer

mounts are the same

best of all, you can sell your existing motor to recover some cost too.

engine run about 5k, labor, say 1k, you could at least sell yours for 1k
so i am guess for around 5k you will be driving a hybrid S4
