Default How much weight can I put in the trunk of my A4?

I want to put down a patio in my backyard, so I need to buy a few concrete patio blocks, some sand and some gravel.

I don't want my A4 to look like the infamous Home Depot Jetta and bust the rear shocks. I'm looking at about 35 sq-ft of patio blocks. One trip or two?

THanks,
Peter

Default Well i had a 1.8 motor in the trunk and the tranny across the back seats

The car didnt ride much lower but it did hit the bump stops a couple of times.
i drove 70 miles like that but almost all of it was straight highway no corners or hills.

How far do you have to go? would it be worth the extra bucks to get it delivered?

Rent a Home Depot truck. It's by the hour and a lot cheaper then fixing your suspension.

Default Not buying from H.D.

Unfortunately, H.D. requires a purchase to rent out their trucks. I'll look into delivery. Or I'll just make two trips. 35 sq-ft is not that much.

Default This information should be listed in the manual. Or at least

on the GVWR sticker on the drivers door jamb. I would imagine passengers/luggage it's not more than about 1000-1200 lbs. evenly dist.
