How to remove the black plastic trim around the Climate Control '00 1.8t
does it just pry off? The recirc button jammed and is stuck on forcing the A/C to run in Auto at LO all the time, nothing will take it off, so I if remove the plastic trim, I should be able to get the button free.
2 screwdrivers on the side of trim? Just pops out? Thanx.

try scrubbing around the button with a toothbrush and mildly soapy water until it loosens up.
The CC trim is screwed into the unit. The unit itself is clipped in with these metal resistance (I guess) clips that will allow you to pull it out. Once you have that out, there are 4 torx screws on the back, * << yea about that small. I don't remember the size. Once those are out you still have to unclip the trim off with out snapping the plastic clips that hold it in place. Next step is to unscrew (* torx again) the elec board and then you'l have access to the buttons. You carefully push those out with the torx driver. Soooo, long story short, try scrubbing them first.
