Default warm air can hold more moisture, so its relative humidity will be lower...

and will still take some of the moisture off the windshield. obviously warm dry air is better, but if he cant get the compressor to come on, warm air will work to some extent.

the trick is not to have recirc on.

Default It does sometimes, but not all the time. I can hear the relay click and the idle change

when it does kick on, but it doesn't always.

owners manual states the ac should still work until -8C or 20F should still work around 32F then

WTF? Maybe I check for fault codes, clear it out even if none are there, and run basic settings.

Default external temp sensor going south maybe?

Would that be where it gets the temp reading?

Default Yeah. It's the most acurate temp sensor I've ever used. I guess after 166k miles though

somethings got to give.

I'll look into it though.
