Hungry

Is the A4 engine made in Hungry? Is the whole car made in Germany? Asia? I'd like to know about this. Thanks.

I thought Audi is a Japanese company! :>

All Audi and VW's 1.8T engines are produce in Hungry where they ship back to Germany for a final installation on A3, A4, A6, GTI, Passat, Bora (Jetta and New Beetle in Mexico).
Are you thinking Audi is a Japanese company or some rename Japanese marque? If so, I think you are driving an Acura 3.2TL that designed in Japan and made in USA. All except TT that's made in Hungry, the same plant as the 1.8T engines. All Audis are made in GERMANY!

Eat something! :-) 1.8 engine is made in Hungary. Most...

...of the A4 is built in Germany, but it has parts from all over the world. I don't think anyone makes a car that is completely made in the country of origen.

Not all A4's are from Germany!!!

In fact, a large number of A4's are actually made in South Africa. I don't know if that is only for the right hand drive models, as it is the case for the three series (BMW) and the Mercedes C-class. Also, I know that A4's are assembled (not manufactured though) in Malaysia for their local market, as it is much cheaper that way due to the tax structure over there.
