Default I shipped from SoCal to Boston

I think it cost me about $1500. However, I had it shipped with my furniture. They put it right in the moving van (used united vanlines) with the furniture. Cool and they stored it for me. Delivered it to my door on a flatbed. They picked it up on a flatbed. Included all insurance with full liability during shipment. I shopped around and the quotes were from like $750-2k. So it was just easier to get it done all at once. Cheapest is an open carrier. Most expensive is covered solo.

I used DAS to ship my fiance's car to SoCal from N.J. It was 695 for an open trailer with no fixed delivery date, 900 for a guaranteed date within some time frame, don't remember the details. It was cool because you could track exactly where the car was at any given time from their website. The car was in perfect condition (well, no worse than it was in NJ), with less than .5 mile added to the odo. I was pleased with their work.

edit - forgot to mention, I had another car shipped the same distance by another carrier with a very different experience. Can't remember the name of the place, but in the end I had racked up $700 in unexpected car rental costs, and I got to know the local BBB rep. Be VERY careful of who you go with.

Default When are you looking to ship your car?

A few of us are looking to ship our cars to NJ right around Waterfest and are trying to find a company that might cut us a multi car deal.
