hrm, I'm gonna say because you can get 600HP out of the 12v for less?

but in the real world: How much will it cost you to get 215-240HP?

Default Low-end torque is the biggie.

If you think the 12V 2.8 is sluggish in the A4, try it in an A6 wagon. My wife loves her car, and I'll admit it's a great highway cruiser (quiet, extremely comfortable interior, and loads of room for the kids and gear), but it is truly a slug off the line.

Default well, initial gains cost more tah 1.8t, but maxed out 12v ends up cheaper (more)

you can get 215 for about $1200, that's more than the 1.8t

hit the 400s with about $5000, thats a lot less than the 1.8T

Cone intake. throttle body mod, intake manifold mod, 400 involves valve port
