I got my VAG ball joint puller today
It's a Kukko piece stamped with VW/Audi. So even though I ordered it from Snapon equip. solutions, it's not a snapon part. For $96.50 plus shipping it wasn't a bad deal, relatively speaking. Should make control arms pretty painless.

I got my POS ball joint press yesterday. Paid $30 total and it shows
This work of art is made from cast iron, and is about the size of my closed fist. I'm expecting it to be a one-use item. Any use beyond that is a bonus.

I was considering going the cheap route as well
but in the end I wanted the right tool to save myself anymore headaches. This is a quality German made piece. You can tell. And it has a wider "mouth" to fit the Audi ball joints.
