I have been installing a new head for 2 hours. Still no sound from rear speakers.
(please feal free to make fun of my lack of knowledge). I am not adding new speakers and I have connected all the wires correctly on the wiring harness. the diagram shows the wiring for the rear speakersThe new HU has plugs out the back for amp and rear speakers but I have no where to plug them. can anyone tell me whats up?

it's possible you'll need to run wires to the rear speakers.
The rears are amplified by their own amp. If you've got sound coming from the front but none from the rear, that's what I'd start considering, is running some wire from the head unit back to those speakers, and tapping in there. Take the amp off the rear driver's side speaker.

Rear speakers are self amplified...no?
Check the left rear speaker...does it have a little amp piggybacked on it? If so, you may need to run speaker wire out to the speakers from the head unit.

take a battery, any larger battery will work, tap the positive and negative speaker wires behind the deck to the battery posts, this should create a slight pop sound out of the speakers. If this doesn't happen, you'll need to run new speaker wires.
