I have a 96 A4 and am thinking about buying my friends sport suspension off his car. How much do you guys think it will lower my car? Is is worth it? Adam

maybe 10-20mm? sure it is worth it if you have non-sport suspension. Get swaybars too if you can....

1) how low do you want the car?

2) how much is the friend charging?

3) is it springs & shocks together?

Consider:
1) It will lower a non-sport about an inch, maybe a little more. I think I saw 30mm posted somewhere. If you want lower, go with the Audi Eurosports which lower a sport suspension about 20mm. If you want to scrape the groud, get H&R or something else aggressive.

2) if it's cheap and low enough for you, then go for it.. you will notice a difference. Otherwise, Eurosports are about $280 from Claire, new shocks are about $500 and an install/alignment is anywhere from $150 to $350.

3) if it is springs only, then you will have to buy shocks. The non-sport shocks will not last very long with lower springs. I was able to squeeze 8 months out of my sport shocks with Eurosport springs, but the last two months were not much fun. Recently installed Bilstein shocks.
