Default I believe that's correct. So what turbo for the A4 would need an external wastegate?

I thought even the T28 was internal

Default Stainless steel does not absorb heat like cast iron, stays cooler . . .

no need for thermal expansion cuts.

On my 12v, engine bay temps dropped significantly going from cast iron manifold to stainless steel headers.
