Default Idea to ponder for replacement of Samco Hose?

I was thinking of using a stainless steel pipe to connect the FMIC to the trottle body. I have a samco hose connecting them right now, but thought that a pipe may work better. Anyone ever try this or have any info for me? I got the idea from the mechanic that installed my new clutch. The mechanic said he thinks it would increase the flow of air better. everyone let me know what you think.

Default it would work fine EXCEPT the engine vibrates you cant have a hard line otherwise it will crack

you need a flex joint in there somewhere

Default It wouldn't flow any more unless

the inner diameter was larger than the Samco. What size?
