I know it's been said here before, but tonight I installed an APR chipped ECU into my 6 week old, ~1800 mile a41.8tqms. I thought it was fairly quick before.

I thought it would be quicker after. What I ended up with was Mr. Hyde! I'm sure this has been said hundreds of times in this forum, but the chipped A4 is a BEAST! It's easily quicker than my '93 325IS was, and I look forward to pushing this car for the 38 months remaining on my lease!

Congrats audi! You've built a hell of a car. Kudos to APR you've worked magic, and thanks to the people of this forum, without whom, I'd probably be driving something far less interesting.

Last, but not Least... Got to thank FLASH, My old friend & high school buddy, who chipped his passat over a year ago... Now this car is the SCREAMING BANSHEE!!!!

Sorry to ramble on like this, but I am utterly in awe of what this car has become... I can't wait to wake up in the morning, and rack up some more miles!!!!

Question, I want to have the car appear as stock as possible for service. I can change a chip/ECU easily, but an exhaust???? I'm sure the exhaust much improves the chip , but are the resluts close to as impressive w/o the exhaust??

I understand the Keeping a stock appearence, but for whom?
The Dealer? are you leasing? So, am I!
They don't care, they want to SELL cars.
If they do care, they can't void anything!
They can't its the law.

Me I will be buying my car anyway after the lease.
maximizing write offs and depreciation.

anyway, changing your ECU will show a code noting a loss of power has accured and you have'nt fooled anyone!

And yes, chipping is the best and most radical mod on the 1.8T, exhaust just seals the deal at the top end. So it would not be for everyone.

Me I blame this Forum!! had I never visited I'd basically been Box Stock and been really really happy with my litte ole' A4. Now a few (quite) dollors lighter, I got me a real Play Thing!
