Illinois I PASS on Audi A4 97 front windshield - Any problems..?

Default Illinois I PASS on Audi A4 97 front windshield - Any problems..?
Hi there,
I had called to the Illinois Tollway Authority to request for an internal I-PASS reader. The customer service agent told me to get a confirmation from a dealer if the front windshield had insulated glass/heated feature ?
Not sure what it means....but if it is true then I need to mount an external reader on the license plates...yucks..!
I thought I would start with this group b4 proceeding to dealership.

Windshield mount works fine - we dont have heated windshields.

The California FasTrak tranceivers work fine. Pretty sure they're the same technology.
