Default Don't take it over 4,000 rpm for the first 1,000 miles

The 30V really loosens up afterward. At about 4,000 miles, it's a new animal.

I drove mine a little softer than norman but it should say in the manual how long I believe its 1000 miles. Good luck its a fun fast car, you'll love it!

Default What break-in?

When I received delivery of my 2.8 a couple of months back, I asked the same question. The dealer said, "there is no break-in period." So, I just drove it in a spirited way, and watched oil consumption every two fill-ups. You'll be pleasantly surprised how quick it goes under 4000 RPM -- no need to put the pedal to the metal.
