Default I'm trying to tap into the fog light's power right at the wire when it connects to the bulb plug...

But i cant seem to be getting any power. I tried the fuse for that cricuit, and I get power, but when I splice into the wire just before it plugs into the bulb, i get nothing. Do I have to splice into a wire further back? If so how much further.

I could tap into the line near the fuse box, but i need the led near the head lights, so it can be in the engine compartment.

Thanks.

Your testing for power at the bulb with the fog lights on right?

Default yep, i spliced the wire at the bulb and joined the red wire from the led...

then grounded the other wire from the led on a bolt. I then turned on the fog lights. the fog lights came on fine, but the led didn't

Did the LED come on when you did it some where else on the car?

Default yea it worked perfectly when i tested it by simply touching the back of one of the fuses

i'm guessing since that after you know where that big plug, plugs into the headlight assembly, the voltage must be changed or something?? So maybe splice into the wires before they plug into the big socket for the whole headlight assembly? I didn't want to try cause they seemed pretty thick, and didn't want to mess up anything.
