Install diverter valve 1.8T
I drive 1999.5 1.8T QTip, have APR chip x 4 mos, now less acceleration, "sucking noise" when accelerating 2000-3000 rpm. Forum suggests torn diverter valve. Any other ideas? Does turbo boost with chipping cause diverter malfunction? Are after-market diverters better than OEM? Forge valve? How do you get to valve to replace it? Pictures?

to replace....
jack the car up with a hydraulic jack. use jackstands to hold the car up. remove shroud look towards the passenger headlight from underneath the bpv will be right in front of your face. if you follow the intercooler piping you will see where the bpv is attached.

oh yeah i forgot....
you need to pretty much break the original hose clamps....you can do this by taking a vise grip and squeezing the raised part of the clamp.... this will allow you to open the clamp slightly. then tug away so you can get the bpv out of the way. before doing this buy some new clamps. about an inch ½ should do it for the larger clamps....i used zip ties for the small nipple hose.
