Default Installed my StopTech Brakes --> Pictures Here

Well I finally installed my brakes today. It really wasn't that hard at all. After the first side was done, the other was a breeze. I will probably do a full write-up on these in the next week or so when I get a chance to really test them out. I will post my reveiw at that point most likely. My initial reactions included a BIG smile upon completion. They look great. I already took them through the "break-in period" and plan on testing them out on my way back to Boston tomorrow or tuesday morning. Anyway, here are the pictures. Let me know if anyone has any questions.

Default LOL those must be 18" Spiders cause I don't have even close to that much space...

actually mine are still not even on the car...I'm waiting on my custom hats...the Oettinger 17" wheel is not a good fit for this brake it...actually it doesn't fit, at least not with a safe amount of clearance. Sooo I'm having custom hats made...which is actually done, we're just waiting now for them to be tumbled and then anodized...hopefully I'll have them on the car next week ;-) then I'll be able to put on my suspension ;-) I had to have 2mm spacers built into the hat...which isn't much like 0.078" or something, but it's what I need. I even have clearance issues between the ID of the rim and the backside of the caliper, these things are pretty monsterous...I have maybe 3mm of clearance which is plenty to be safe...I'm just concerned about the cosmetic damage that will occur when a rock gets bound between the rim and the caliper OUCH...but this could be a problem even with 18" you just get to play with bigger rocks :-(

Maybe I'll sell my Oettinger 17" in a while once I've paid down some of my other bills...then I'll get a set in 18" and order a set of stock ST hats to replace the custom made ones...or just keep running the custom hats...it only widens the track of the car by 4mm total...which isn't much.

BTW - When did you get that particular kit? Did it come from Pete at Stratmosphere...how long ago did your order your set? I bought mine like 2 months ago LOL.

James R.
