my boss rear ended a saab with his S4 and dinged up one of the custom intercoolers. the body shop will pressure test it to see if any real damage was done. i would like to line up some options for repairing this intercooler just in case. does anybody have any suggestions?

but if it'a a crack that requires welding you'll need a welder that has the tools and know how to weld aluminum. Not many do and it'll probably be quite expensive. You might be better off buying a new one.

can't buy a new one. they were custom made for a guy that was swapping a 2.7 biturbo into an a4. they are larger than oe rs4 or spearco intercoolers. my understanding is that the turbos should have symmetric paths. this means that they would both have to replaced at a substantial cost.

i will call around and see what local radiator shops can do.
