Default Not sure but i've gotten.....

off some yellow spots on the inside of my spokes. I don't wash the inside of the wheels very often, and when I do even after soap and water there is this yellowish hue on the rim. The Mother's get it off. Read the label thought I am not sure but I think it may have a very very mild abrasive in it.

I've never had problems, but it is probably on best used a few times a year or in spots wher the tar or crap is stuck on.

Default Simple green will marr raw alum and ruin anodized surfaces are well

but WD-40 is horrible for bicycles... attracts and causes dirt to stick and build into gobs. I prefer white teflon grease for cables, teflon dry and wet lubes for drivetrain, and finally thick red bearing grease for headsets, bb, and hubs.

Default Alkaline solutions will attack aluminum, but once you get the solution off the aluminum will protect

itself my forming a thin layer of aluminum oxide. The best thing you can do is to let the air to it, coating the surface could prevent the necessary amount of oxygen from being converted into protective oxide.

Default I use to get Zymöl wheel cleaner from AutoZone(they no longer carry it) and I loved that stuff.

It came with the cleaner,a wheel protectant(never used it) , and a brush that worked great for getting the cleaner into all the nooks. I think it was biodegradable ,I remember it having a minty smell. If you can find it,I'd try it(let me knoe where you got it from).

Default Zymöl makes a "Protective wheel coat" that "Provides a brake dust barrier."

"....helps protect your wheel investment from road soils, corrosion and environmental pollutants." "Facilitates brake dust removal-makes future cleaning easier." "Easy to use, just spray and let dry."

I have a couple of bottles if you want one.
