I've been thinking of either getting an R32 and ditching the A4
or keeping the A4 and getting a second car that is a little more fun than a 12V automatic A4. Just found this on Craigslist, what do you think?

http://kansascity.craigslist.org/car/286432405.html</a

depends on what you're looking for...
you can pump a LOT of power out of those 20vt... a simple chip and wastegate spring give you lots of power, then there are many other turbo upgrades, etc etc etc.
Not sure of issues with those cars, but if they're similar to the 200s in that respect, I've heard of IC issues and what not.
I wouldn't mind picking one of those up, but my heart is still with teh 20vt 200s. I'm a big fan of the S6 avants though, not gonna lie to ya.

I guess that is my problem
I don't know what I want. I seriously want a car that is a stick and is more fun than my car now. It's just hard to justify spending $25k+ on an R32.
I was just looking through craigslist and saw this and I got excited. It appears that it is owned by somebody that takes really good care of their audi - not too many of us in KS.
I guess I need to define what I am looking for before I go buy anything.
Thanks justin.

no problem man...
i went through the same $hit... trust me.
You find new $$ and think, oo I want that, and that and that... then you sit back and go, well... what do I really NEED... then it comes clear.
With that vintage S4, you're really buying a slightly bigger version of what you have... so if you have 2 cars that fill the same purpose... why? I was doing that when I was looking at the new mustangs, rx-8s, G35s, and the likes... then I realized, I didn't want to get rid of the A4, so why buy the same kind of car.
then came the 4000... and it's been downhill ever since
