What's up with RT's skidpad numbers?

I just scanned the AWD wagon piece in the Jan. issue of R&T and am puzzled by the Avant's relatively low .76 skidpad result, lower even than the Passat GLX. Is this a function of the non-sports suspension and Goodyear tires? R&T tested an Avant qMS last spring and got a skidpad reading of .86, better even than the Volvo V70 R AWD's .80.<p>Or, should I get a life? %^)<p>J.Russ<br>98.5 Avant qMS<p>PS: The color combo on the test wagon (silver with ambient interior) was too cool.
