john, concerning earlier post about coilovers vs springs & shock combo ..

The factory Sport spring rates are almost the same as the aftermarket springs. With the Bilsteins you can also set the front spring perches 10mm lower for a little extra lowering.</i>
i do have the sport package(~25mm lower?) but am also looking to lower further by another ~20mm. so i'm looking at a total of ~1.75in lower. i've seen a few pix of 17" & 18" wheels on the reg sport package. the car looks kinda jacked up.
i will not be doing any track events so once it's set it's set. i really don't need the coilover adjustability. it seems that with the addition lowering i want i'd have to toss the stock setup completely. yes?
