Just broke open my 1.8t gear box
to find out that the only thing that was broken and keeping it from going into 1st or 2nd gear with the car running was a little bolt that allows the shift linkage to pivot on an axis without any play. This bolt/shaft has a T55 head and on the passenger side of the gear box. When I went to remove it to dump out the gear oil I saw that it was snapped.
Took some pictures of the inside of the gear box and of the broken part. Will post them up once I am able to upload them.
