just got my first ever speeding ticket :(
75 in a 40, $325 on route 9 in MA. note to self: never speed in brookline. oh wait, i already knew that. oh well, Valentine one has risen a notch on my mod list.
I will probably be asking mad questions for the next week about getting out of tickets, traffic lawyers etc., but right now i have to study for an exam i have at 9 AM tomorrow.
i took a little study break and went for a late night cruise, good call huh? sheesh, $325 less for me to spend on mods.
oh and if any of you remeber (or care), i was having trouble with my cars top speed, well i got it up to 125 but it still feels weak up top, i am now convinced it is my bailey BPV, i can hear it honking (actually sounded more like a light whistle tonight) around 3000 rpm until the engine gets warmed up.

Dood..I was in almost the same situation..
I was writing a paper that counted as our final exam..and I had an 8 am exam the next morning..
Well I went out for a little drive..
and an hour later I was posting bail for wreckless driving
THat was an interesting night..but I did get a 6 point ticket reduced to a non moving violation WITHOUT traffic school...My advice..get a good lawyer..
since this is your first ticket there is a good chance you should get off, atleast with a lot less of a fine...
That was my first ticket too

also, at least i wasn't smoking a blunt. (just kidding to everyone who is offended by that sort of thing)

I goto UNC-Wilmington..
No audi enthusiasts here :-(
Umm the lawyer was cheap...like 200 including my court costs...
but that was becuase he was an alumnist of my fraternity..and did alot of work for us (lets just say we keep him in business ;-)
But if I didn't get hooked up..probably about 500 or so
But that is much better then payng the 320 for the ticket..then insurance premiums...and having a ticket on your record.

i'm not talking about the turbo whistle, that sound i know very well
plus it is quite noticable with my intake. I am pretty sure i'm experiencing a bpv honk, cuz it occurs right aroudn 3000 as i have heard others describe. It is very short, sounding just while the tach is at 3000, and is most noticable under light acceleraction.
thanks for the warm up tip, i do adhere pretty stricktly to that, which is another reason i am convicned i was hearing a honk and not a turbo whistlte, cuz i keep it out of boost until its nice and warm.
